The Devil And Tom Walker

TRUSTWORTHINESS AND THANKFUL

In this essay we are going to see if in some part of the story we have these 2 important values on the story that are Trustworthiness and Thankful.

Trustworthiness is the ability to be relied on as honest or truthful, and Thankful is Conscious of benefit of received.

In this story nobody is Thankful because they don’t appreciate what they have and they are trying to have more and more of what they can really take. At the beginning of the story, we can see that Tom Walker is every time complaining about the bad things of his life with her wife. They are all time fighting and complaining about all, so that makes them a miserable people and a not Thankful persons because they don’t appreciate what they have in his own. Almost we can see that some secondary characters where Thankful with Tom Walker when he give them some work to make more money and take care of his lifes.

In this story we can see that the Devil is a Trustworthiness person because he was the only one who completes the challenges of the deal of money and soul. But Tom Walker and his wife doesn’t respect or followed very well the instructions and then they broke the terms of the deal trying to be a rich person but he didn’t saw the mistake that the Devil know what they were doing. And his wife was a liar so the Devil killed her to have no interference on his deal with Tom Walker. Tom Walker is not a Trustworthiness person because he tried to swindle poor people of a poor town giving them some “work”, but what he really wanted was their belongings trying to be a richer person.

We can see that in this story there is not to much Trustworthiness and Thankful people, because all wanted to take care of each one, and wanted all at her own.
